Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Server to join our team. As a Dining Server, you will play a critical role in providing excellent customer service and creating a positive dining experience for our residents and guests.

Responsibilities
  • Take Resident Orders: Take meal orders from residents in a friendly and attentive manner.
  • Learn and Retain Resident Information: Learn and retain residents' names, special requests, and dietary restrictions.
  • Ensure Dining Room Setup: Ensure the dining room is set up and all items needed for service are readily available.
  • Assist with Cleaning and Sanitizing: Assist with cleaning and sanitizing the dining room, menus, kitchen, serving stations, and other areas as directed.
  • Ensure Safe Food Handling: Ensure safe food handling practices are followed at all times.
  • Assist with Beverage and Snack Preparation: Assist with the preparation of beverages, snacks, desserts, salads, and condiments for service.
  • Assist with Special Dining Requests: Assist residents with any special dining requests.
  • Ensure Resident Attendance: Ensure all residents are accounted for during each meal and complete documentation of their attendance.
  • Assist with Special Events: Assist with special events and functions.
  • Participate in Training: Participate in and attend all in-service training as scheduled.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations, as well as community policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma preferred/GED accepted.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year experience in fine dining hospitality and/or full service senior living preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to handle multiple priorities, competent in organizational and time management skills, demonstrates good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and experience working with seniors.
Physical Abilities
  • Standing and Walking: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand and walk.
  • Lifting and Carrying: An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents.
