The Crisis Intervention Specialist delivers immediate, individualized support to individuals referred by community partners and crisis lines. This role involves evaluating each person's requirements, assessing their risk levels, and implementing suitable clinical interventions and referrals. The Specialist will act as a representative of the program in collaboration with various agencies to ensure that the needs of those served are adequately addressed. This position is hybrid, necessitating both regional travel and office-based responsibilities, with a combination of on-site and remote work.

This is a full-time position with eligibility for benefits. The work schedule is Tuesday through Saturday, from midnight to 8 AM.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Deliver person-centered and trauma-informed care when engaging with individuals in distress.
  • Conduct clinically appropriate crisis interventions and risk evaluations through various platforms, including phone, video, and in-person.
  • Perform Zero Suicide screenings and promptly identify each caller's needs.
  • Conduct follow-up communications or visits as necessary.
  • Maintain clear, timely, and effective communication with community partners.
  • Participate in monthly meetings and weekly clinical supervision with the Crisis Line Supervisor.
  • Achieve and maintain the agreed-upon productivity levels.
  • Provide culturally competent services tailored to the unique needs of each caller.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all services offered by Compass Health.
  • Be familiar with other human and social service agencies for referral purposes when Compass cannot provide a service, and document such referrals.
  • Maintain client records in compliance with agency and state regulations.
  • Ensure all documentation is completed in a proficient and professional manner.
  • Coordinate with the mobile outreach team as needed.
  • Collaborate and communicate with the caller's multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Flexibility in scheduling may be required.
  • Assist with transportation as clinically indicated.

    A Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.

    WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
    • A minimum of one (1) year of experience in behavioral health is required if the highest level of education obtained is a Bachelor's degree.
    • Familiarity with DSM-V is required.
    • A valid driver's license and minimum automobile insurance coverage as established by the agency are required.
    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION

    QMHP is preferred.

    PLPC, LMSW, LPC, LMFT, or LCSW is preferred.
