Certified Nursing Assistant Resident Care FBM 4

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Father Baker Manor Sub Acute. The successful candidate will assist and provide for residents in the activity of daily living in accordance with the individualized plan of care.
Responsibilities- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.
- Assist with meal preparation and serving.
- Assist with light housekeeping duties.
- Participate in the THRIVE program, which provides education and a Workforce Coach to support the CNA through their first year of employment.
- New York State Certified or deemed "waived".
- Clinical experience provided by an approved 100 hour nurse aide course.
- Ability to speak and write the English language.
- Strong communication skills, including approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness, and nonverbal communication.
- Application of the assessment into the aging process, including height/weight, skin integrity, ADLs, bowel and bladder control.
- Lifts, pulls, pushes residents.
- Stands and walks most of the day.
- Normal heat, light space, and safe working environment.
- Intermittent exposure to a few unpleasant physical conditions.
