Job Summary

The Ford-Lincoln Veteran Careers Program is seeking a skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team. As a brand-certified technician, you will be responsible for performing assigned work with efficiency and accuracy, diagnosing malfunctions, and coordinating with the Parts Department to ensure availability of parts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing assigned work with efficiency and accuracy
  • Diagnosing malfunctions and performing repairs
  • Coordinating with the Parts Department
  • Examining vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required
  • Notifying Service Consultants of additional work or repairs
  • Documenting work performed
  • Road testing vehicles to ensure quality of repair
  • Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and attending factory-sponsored training classes

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience working as a Technician in an automotive service department
  • Valid driver's license and a clear driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements
  • Ability to operate power and hand tools and other types of machinery safely
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and operate hoist and test equipment
  • Ability to sit, bend, stoop, and/or stand for extended periods
