Job Summary

Catholic Health Services is seeking a highly skilled Perioperative Assistant to join our team at St. Francis Hospital, The Heart Center. As a Perioperative Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms, providing exceptional patient care, and supporting our surgical teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist professional staff in the Operating Rooms to facilitate surgical cases by maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Coordinate all necessary services for repairs with ANCC.
  • Assist nursing personnel with surgical instrumentation and the disinfection and sterilization of equipment and instruments.
  • Perform surgical case picks for same day and following day cases.
  • Assist in preparing the surgical patient in the Holding Room and transport.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous hospital experience.
  • Must be physically able to lift and transfer Patients/equipment.
  • BLS or CPR/AED training required.
