About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our healthcare team.
Job Summary:As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist PRN, you will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, administering prescribed radioactive materials, collecting and documenting data, and maintaining equipment quality control.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer pharmaceutical grade radioactive materials to patients in accordance with protocols.
- Collect and document data from radiation emitted from human tissue using complex detection equipment.
- Perform quality control on all equipment and radioactive materials as required by policy and regulation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An Associate Degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology and/or Nuclear Medicine.
- Graduation from an AMA-approved program or equivalent.
- Preferred: One to two years of experience in an acute care setting as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
- Registry in Nuclear Medicine from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) within 90 days of hire.
- State Registered Radiologic Technologist by the Texas Medical Board.
