Overview

Stony Brook University seeks a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join its Student Health Services team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality primary care services to university students, promoting their health and wellness through preventive care, education, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine physical exams, manage chronic diseases, and perform health screenings.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and provide urgent care services.

  • Collaborate with physicians, patients, nurses, and ancillary care providers to develop individualized care plans.

Requirements

  • Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse License and certification in Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioners (AGPCNP), or Women's Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNPs).

  • Three years of full-time clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
