Job Overview

At Diamond Pet Foods, we are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our production facilities. We are currently seeking a skilled Sanitation Technician to join our team in ensuring that our manufacturing and packaging processes adhere to strict hygiene protocols.

This role involves a variety of tasks performed both indoors and outdoors, often in proximity to operational machinery and elevated noise levels. Candidates should be prepared to work in diverse weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Execute thorough cleaning procedures for designated areas and equipment, moving throughout the facility as needed.
  2. Utilize cleaning chemicals in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Uphold Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) as per company guidelines.
  4. Lift up to 75 pounds and navigate ladders and confined spaces safely.
  5. Work at heights and obtain certification for equipment operation, including forklifts.
  6. Minimize cross-contamination risks by using color-coded tools in designated zones.
  7. Conduct complete cleanouts of production lines using various cleaning methods and tools.
  8. Participate in confined space work following successful training completion.
  9. Adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedule, completing daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  10. Manage and sort through defective pallets and chemicals, ensuring proper mixing and filling of sanitizer tanks.
  11. Assist with special projects as assigned by supervisors or management.
  12. Follow all safety protocols and report any safety violations or hazards immediately.
  13. Engage in all safety initiatives and maintain a strong work ethic with consistent attendance.

Experience operating forklifts is advantageous. Overtime work is required, and full participation is expected.
