The Floor Maintenance Technician role is focused on the upkeep and cleanliness of carpets and hard surface flooring.
Key Responsibilities:
The technician is tasked with the maintenance and cleaning of carpets and hard surface floors, which includes:
- Stripping, scrubbing, buffing, waxing, refinishing, sealing, and spot cleaning.
- Adhering to safety protocols in all work areas.
- Assisting the Building/Account Lead with various special projects, including setups, breakdowns, and transitions.
- Exhibiting flexibility and readiness to undertake all assigned tasks.
Specific Duties Include:
- Cleaning floors through sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming, while following procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damage.
- Stripping, sealing, finishing, and polishing floors.
- Cleaning and vacuuming carpeted areas, including spot cleaning treatments.
- Operating vehicles (if necessary) for cleaning tasks, including vans and industrial equipment.
- Performing miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must fulfill all requirements for approval to work in specific environments, including a ten-year work history if available.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service.
- At least one year of relevant work experience.
