About the RoleWe're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) to join our team on a locum tenens basis. As a locum tenens podiatrist, you'll have the opportunity to work in various clinical settings while maintaining the flexibility of a temporary assignment.
Your primary responsibility will be to provide comprehensive foot and ankle care to our patients, including patient examinations, surgical and non-surgical management of foot and ankle conditions, and education on foot care and general wellness.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' lower extremity complaints and develop individualized care plans.
- Provide comprehensive podiatric care, including at-risk foot care, trauma management, wound care, and surgical interventions when necessary.
- Educate patients and families on foot care, general wellness, medication usage, and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with state regulations and Upperline Health standards.
- Collaborate with hospital staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure a high standard of care.
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) with appropriate certification and licensure.
- Active DPM license preferred, or ability to obtain one within the applicable timeframe.
- Board Qualified or Board Certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine (ABPM) and/or American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS).
- Strong compassion for patients and their families.
- DEA registration or eligibility required.
- CPR certification, as required by the state Board of Podiatric Medicine.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and team members.
This locum tenens position offers a competitive compensation package, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We value transparency and want to ensure that you have all the information you need to make an informed decision about your career. Our salary range for this position is $134,000-$250,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
