Job Summary

As a Surgical Technologist at Parkview North Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care in the Perioperative environment. This position requires a high level of expertise, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to anticipate, plan for, and respond to the needs of patients, surgeons, and other healthcare team members.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Perioperative leader to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment
• Maintain confidentiality of patient, family, and staff information
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and care during surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information and surgical procedures
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent GED required
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience
• Current certified surgical technologist certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
• 15 CEU credits annually and current CPR certification required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and 100 pounds with shared lifting
