Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting engineering projects through data collection, fabrication, and maintenance of various systems. This position requires a solid understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to work with hand tools and schematics. The Mechanical Technologist will collaborate with engineers to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities- Initiate and maintain records as outlined in the ECN procedures.
- Drawing, maintaining, and controlling WCM and customer part prints, specifications, and corresponding files.
- Maintenance of all data pertaining to manufactured and purchased part numbers, both current and obsolete. Notify the appropriate departments of inactive/obsolete parts or tooling.
- Assist Engineering in creating and completing cost sheets, and miscellaneous Engineering correspondence as required.
- Assisting in the part numbering system.
- Developing new and/or revised Production Methods and Item Masters into the mainframe.
- Ongoing auditing and monitoring of the accuracy of the Production Methods and Item Masters.
- New/repair tooling evaluation reports as needed.
- Maintenance of WCM/Customer specifications data.
- Special projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Proficient mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience using hand tools.
- Familiarity with data collection methods and analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration within the team.
