We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Warehouse Assistant to oversee the proper processing, organization, and storage of inventory. This role involves packaging, scanning, and preparing orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate should be adept at multitasking, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and familiar with inventory management software and databases. The Warehouse Assistant will also be responsible for operating machinery, including forklifts and man-lifts, with prior experience being advantageous.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Warehouse Manager with daily operations and necessary documentation.
- Notify the Warehouse Manager and Director of Operations regarding inventory requirements for projects or to maintain stock levels.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all orders, shipments, returns, and inventory movements.
- Receive, document, and assess defective equipment.
- Utilize MKS and Inflow Inventory Software for tracking and managing equipment materials.
- Ensure inventory accuracy through effective control techniques, including cycle counts.
- Report any damaged or missing inventory to the Warehouse Manager.
- Input and verify purchase orders for accuracy.
- Prepare and ship inventory as required.
- Monitor project timelines and service reports to allocate necessary equipment.
- Receive, inspect, and document incoming freight while restocking shelves appropriately.
- Assemble and disassemble computer hardware as needed.
- Manage and uphold physical inventory organization.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse.
- Perform additional related tasks as required.
Qualifications:
- Clean background check.
- Ability to pass state and federal background checks for industry licensing and security clearance.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment and random drug screenings as mandated by law.
- Prior experience in warehouse or inventory management is preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Capability to obtain necessary state licensing upon hiring.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Dedication to thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent time management, planning, and proactive thinking abilities.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in using hand tools and equipment necessary for the role.
- Maintain a professional demeanor with colleagues and clients.
- Ability to operate lifts and handle physical demands, including lifting up to 75 pounds.
