Key Responsibilities:
Pottery Production
Client Engagement
Pottery Workshops
Pottery Production:
Craft, shape, and finalize assigned ceramic items efficiently at our potter's wheels.
Ensure the quality and artistry of each piece while optimizing production speed to enhance both quantity and quality.
Collaborate with master artisans and the Lead Trainer to maintain uniformity across our product offerings.
Uphold a clean and secure studio space by following established cleaning protocols and schedules.
Once adequately trained, regularly manage the loading and unloading of kilns.
Ceramic artists play a vital role in the overall production workflow and team dynamics; as part of the production crew, assistance may be required in various departmental tasks such as glazing and waxing.
Client Engagement:
Foster an inviting studio atmosphere and respond to customer inquiries and feedback with enthusiasm.
Inform customers about the Farmhouse Pottery brand and our crafting techniques.
Maintain an organized workspace during open studio hours to enhance the customer experience.
Pottery Workshops:
Conduct personalized workshops where participants learn the art of pottery throwing and enjoy an interactive experience.
Upon successful training, lead pottery workshops as per the Farmhouse Pottery standards.
Prepare and dismantle workshop equipment and materials.
Complete workshop documentation accurately and send thank-you notes.
Trim and finalize workshop creations and ensure they are queued for kiln firing.

RequirementsRequirements:
Previous pottery throwing experience; candidates will demonstrate their wheel skills during the interview process.

Stand for extended periods.
Navigate throughout the facility, including stairs and outdoor areas.
Exert force up to 40 pounds consistently to move objects as needed.

Bend forward by flexing at the waist or bending the legs and spine.
