Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical assessments and gather medical histories to evaluate donor eligibility.
  • Foster positive relationships with donors to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Maintain confidentiality for both donors and staff.
  • Educate donors about potential risks and safety measures.
  • Provide guidance on general health and discuss any unacceptable test results.
  • Assess and manage donor-related injuries and adverse reactions.
  • Review medical histories and medications to confirm ongoing donor eligibility.
  • Support training initiatives for new employees.
  • Oversee the administration of the Hepatitis Vaccine program for staff.

Qualifications:

  • Must be educated and currently certified/licensed as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, Licensed Vocational Nurse, Paramedic, or Emergency Medical Technician in accordance with state regulations.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
