About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Floor Maintenance Technician to join our team at Healthcare Services Group, Inc. As a key member of our cleaning staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of floors in long-term care facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Clean and maintain floors in resident rooms, common areas, and offices, ensuring they meet high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Operate floor care equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and established protocols.
  • Maintain accurate records of floor care activities and report any maintenance or safety issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents, staff, and guests, providing outstanding customer service and responding to concerns in a professional manner.
  • Perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, but not required; relevant experience in floor care or a related field is an asset.
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare setting is advantageous, as is familiarity with infection control and universal precautions policies.
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  • Capacity to work effectively in a team environment, communicate clearly, and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
