Position Overview:
As a Plumbing Field Supervisor at Mechanical One, you will play a crucial role in managing and directing the daily plumbing operations for our residential construction projects. Your primary responsibility will be to implement the company's standard operating procedures, ensuring that all plumbing systems are installed according to code and function optimally. You will also be instrumental in maintaining high standards of quality and customer satisfaction throughout the construction process.

Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Overseeing quality assurance and code compliance through effective management of the job site team.
  • Conducting daily inspections to verify installations against design specifications and creating punch lists as necessary.
  • Managing work scope, piece rate, and hourly reporting to ensure project efficiency.
  • Communicating timely change order requirements to clients.
  • Providing detailed information to the production team to clarify job site needs and document activities.
  • Enhancing crew efficiency through proactive job readiness assessments.
  • Maintaining effective communication with builders and client representatives, attending meetings as required.
  • Setting clear expectations for quality and productivity with the crew members.
  • Ensuring job site safety through proactive measures.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in new construction, either residential or commercial.
  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a related field.
  • Proven ability to manage plumbing projects from inception to completion, including overseeing all phases of underground plumbing as well as top-out and trim-out processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of plumbing installation and technical aspects of the trade, with the ability to read and interpret construction plans effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.
