Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Aiken Physicians Alliance. As a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.
Responsibilities- Perform and record patient history and physical examinations in accordance with hospital policy and standards.
- Establish differential diagnosis and communicate findings with the supervising physician.
- Order appropriate lab and diagnostic procedures.
- Synthesize data to determine primary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing established medical principles.
- Recognize and critically assess changes in patient condition and report to the hospitalist physician.
- Facilitate coordination and development of a comprehensive and individual plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and multidisciplinary team.
- Communicate with primary care physician regarding current and ongoing patient care needs.
- Act as a liaison and facilitator between hospitalist, staff members, case managers, and attending physician regarding patient care.
- Advanced knowledge and clinical skills acquired through completion of formal education program for Nurse Practitioner.
- Three to five years experience in acute care hospital medicine preferred. ACLS Certified required.
- Licensed by the South Carolina State Board of Medical Examiners.
- Current South Carolina Nurse Practitioner's license with authorization for prescriptive authority.
