Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team at McMillen, Inc. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our heavy civil projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Direct and manage the construction process, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Quality Control: Enforce safety and quality control policies among employees and subcontractors to ensure the project runs smoothly and on schedule.
  • Communication: Direct work-flow consistent with the project schedule and communicate project priorities to office staff and subcontractors.
  • Documentation: Maintain a daily diary of all activities and site conditions and manage the punch list and closeout process for the job.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain a good working relationship with all subcontractors and clients.
Requirements
  • Experience: 10+ years of construction field superintendent experience in heavy civil industry.
  • Leadership: Must have a great attitude and the ability to motivate team members on site.
  • Scheduling: Strong scheduling background.
  • Change Management: Change management background.
  • Technical Skills: Must have strong computer skills and should have experience in working on Microsoft Office related programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Scheduling Software: Must have experience working with scheduling software such as MS Projects, Primavera, or other applicable programs.
  • Travel: Travel is required 100% (company pays per diem for travel 70+ miles away from home).
