Key Responsibilities- Collect and report vital signs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Respond to patient calls, messages, and requests, and relay information to the appropriate caregiver.
- Maintain patient records, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
- Requisition supplies and equipment as needed, and ensure their availability.
- Transport patients as indicated, prioritizing their safety and comfort.
- Assist in the chemotherapy area as needed, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
- Ensure that all charts are supplied with appropriate forms for documentation, and that reports are posted in a timely and accurate manner.
- Use computer systems appropriately, prioritizing orders and scheduling patient appointments.
- Assist others as necessary, utilizing time constructively and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience as a Nurse Assistant in a hospital setting preferred.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association (AHA) preferred upon hire, and required within 30 days of hire.
