Staff Nurse RN

The Registered Nurse is a vital member of the Novant Health team, responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of safety and quality. As a Registered Nurse, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, families, and communities. Responsibilities:
Responsibility I:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based practices to achieve optimal patient outcomes. You will also collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care, communicate effectively with patients and families, and provide education and support to promote health and wellness.
Responsibility II:
In this role, you will be responsible for managing patient flow, obtaining medical records and test results, reviewing patient schedules, and ensuring that patients have follow-up testing and appointments. You will also develop working relationships with referring physicians and ensure that patients have all necessary information and questions answered about their health and treatments received.
Responsibility III:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for performing nursing assessments, coordinating patient care needs, and developing individualized plans of care. You will also collaborate with healthcare teams to implement and evaluate patient care, provide education and support to patients and families, and maintain accurate documentation of patient care and outcomes.
Responsibility IV:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients have all necessary information and questions answered about their health and treatments received. You will also complete documentation for observation, planning, and evaluation of care provided to patients, track patient referrals, and work with pharmacies and insurance companies on prior authorizations as needed.
Responsibility V:
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for maintaining a current state license, participating in physical exams and annual TB skin testing, and adhering to departmental dress codes. You will also provide telephone coverage, assist front office staff with filing and other clerical needs, and maintain confidentiality of patient health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and policies.

Other Considerations:
- If CPR certification is not current, must be willing to obtain within 60 days of employment, as a condition of employment.
- Maintains continuing education requirements as required.
