As a key member of our team at Hendrickson USA, L.L.C., you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble components in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, operating equipment, conducting quality checks, and interpreting production work orders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize a Bill of Materials to build units using proper materials and parts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operate material handling equipment, such as overhead hoists and cranes, with precision and care.
- Apply paint to suspension parts using a spray gun, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and equipment, including lubrication, cleaning, adjustments, and minor maintenance checks.
- Accurately report daily activities on work orders, Kanban cards, and other media as required, maintaining a high level of documentation.
- Meet established production standards, prioritizing efficiency and quality.
- Interpret and use production work orders and product router special instructions, demonstrating a strong understanding of production processes.
- Collect and properly store waste paint and solvents according to established procedures in secure storage areas.
- Exercise safe working habits while operating equipment and tools, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Comply with the Quality Management System, adhering to ISO14001 Environmental Policies and company guidelines.
- Properly follow Work Instruction / Training Guides & Control Plans, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Adhere to Auxiliary Axle Systems Employee Handbook and company policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Maintain regular attendance, ensuring a consistent and reliable work schedule.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar industry, with a strong understanding of production processes.
- Self-motivated, with strong initiative and communication skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Computer skills required, with the ability to learn and adapt to new software and systems.
- Ability to work hours outside regular schedule and overtime as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, bend, balance, and grasp, with occasional climbing, squatting, or kneeling.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
