About the Role

California Dairies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Tipton facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including pumps, pasteurizers, high-pressure pumps, evaporators, dryers, and other machinery.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain plant equipment, systems, and machines under the supervision of the Facility Superintendent.
  • Quality Assurance: Support and enforce SQF / QA, GMP, HACCP, and Safety policies and procedures to ensure food safety and quality.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders and activity reports.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with other employees, management, and vendors to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum two years of experience in a maintenance setting involving electronics, instrumentation, refrigeration, electrical, and general mechanical.
  • Skills: Proficient written and spoken English, basic computational skills, and simple math reasoning.
  • Licenses: Possess or be able to acquire a forklift operator license.
Working Conditions

The maintenance mechanic will work in a fast-paced industrial environment, exposed to various temperatures, chemicals, and physical demands. The ability to lift up to 60 pounds on a frequent basis and 80 pounds on an occasional basis is required.
