Job Title: Meat Market Manager Trainee

Hannaford Supermarkets is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Market Manager Trainee to join our team. As a Meat Market Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Meat department, including supervising associates, maintaining department standards, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the supervision of Meat department associates, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain high standards of department appearance and presentation, ensuring a clean and organized work environment.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve sales and profitability in the Meat department.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
  • Stay up-to-date on company policies, procedures, and initiatives, applying this knowledge to improve department performance.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of inventory management systems are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills for handling meat products.
  • Ability to work in a cold environment and handle cleaning materials.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience in a retail or food service environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of meat cutting and preparation techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
