Pediatric Mid-Level Provider Job Description

Murfreesboro Medical Clinic seeks a highly skilled Pediatric Mid-Level Provider to join our team in the Pediatrics department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide competent, evidence-based medical care to patients by interviewing, examining, and treating them.
  • Determine the level of urgency for follow-up care, referral/consultation appointments, and diagnostic testing.
  • Have a thorough knowledge of and experience with pharmacological agents.
  • Educate patients on wellness, prevention, and the importance of early detection of disease, providing appropriate resources to help them understand their own health.
  • Exercise final medical judgment and assume ultimate responsibility for the performance of mid-level medical and clinical nursing staff.
  • Participate in quality improvement, management, continuing education, and other patient care programs according to personal and institutional requirements.
  • Assist in the resolution of complaints, requests, and inquiries from patients.
Requirements:
  • Awarded an appropriate degree from an accredited school with licensure to practice in the state of Tennessee.
  • Pediatric experience is necessary, with Behavioral Health and Neurology experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer service skills, strong communication skills, and the ability to conduct daily functions in an appropriate, professional, and compassionate manner.
  • Ability to manage/prioritize multiple tasks in an efficient and timely manner, with a teamwork attitude and flexibility to respond to changing demands.
  • Ability to react calmly and competently in stressful situations, effectively utilizing computer systems and programs necessary to complete daily tasks.
