We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Postpartum and Nursery RN, providing high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic care that addresses the holistic needs of patients.

Job Summary

This role includes:

  • Providing quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic nursing care in an environment that strives to meet patient needs on a holistic level.
  • Incorporating emotional support and education alongside superior medical and nursing care to achieve patient well-being.
Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will:

  1. Plan the patient's care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  2. Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problem.
  3. Handle, transport, store, prepare, and administer medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  4. Document accurately and timely.
  5. Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
  6. Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition.
  7. Attend mandatory in-services/staff meetings.
  8. Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications, unit duties, and special assignments.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • The ability to work well under pressure and function dependently and independently.
  • The ability to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both verbally and in writing.
