Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team at Mount Sinai Wellness Center. As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guests and associates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Room Preparation: Prepare bedrooms for new admissions by dressing beds with clean sheets and comforter, vacuuming the carpet, and cleaning all hard surfaces.
  • Housekeeping Cart Management: Maintain the housekeeping cart organized and stocked with necessary cleaning supplies.
  • Bathroom Deep Cleaning: Deep clean all bathrooms, including mopping floors, cleaning countertops, wiping mirrors and fixtures, and sanitizing shower stalls.
  • Day Room Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the day rooms, including removing any dishes or trash, folding and putting away blankets, and sanitizing hard surfaces.
  • Laundry Assistance: Assist medical staff with laundry duties.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain professional boundaries with clients and interact with them in an appropriate manner.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Prior cleaning/housekeeping experience preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 40 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, cleanliness, and organization; ability to follow and complete a task list on a daily basis; basic knowledge of household cleaning products and how to use them; good communication skills.
