We are currently seeking several full-time Electrician/Electrical Maintenance Technicians for a prominent client that specializes in advanced technology solutions for the metals production industry.
In this role, you will be tasked with the upkeep and repair of electrical systems and machinery, as well as the overall maintenance of plant facilities.
A comprehensive benefits package is available starting from your first day of employment.
Shift:
1st Shift: 7am – 5:00pm
Compensation:
$27-37/hour based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform repairs, construction, installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of standard electrical systems and equipment.
• Cut, thread, bend, couple, and secure conduit. Measure and cut wire and conduit to appropriate lengths.
• Install, repair, or replace switch boxes, light bulbs, plugs, sockets, light fuses, and extension cords.
• Disassemble motors, generators, and other equipment in preparation for repairs.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, inspect circuits and wiring for proper shielding and grounding, and test electrical equipment for safety and efficiency.
• Utilize blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications, along with electrical hand tools and voltage-or-amperage measuring devices.
• Interpret wiring diagrams or schematic drawings, adhering to the National Electric Code.
• May develop wiring diagrams as needed.
• Potentially involve maintenance of electronic or solid-state controls with interlocking or interdependent circuits.
• Crane/Forklift training provided in-house for certification.
• Additional tasks may be assigned at Management's discretion.
Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in a manufacturing maintenance setting.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams or schematic drawings.
• Familiarity with the National Electric Code.
• Proficient in the use of a variety of hand and power tools, as well as electrical testing and troubleshooting equipment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Proper use of Safety Equipment such as safety boots, hard hats, safety glasses, gloves, and other general hand tools.
