Job Title: Senior Diesel Mechanic

Rumpke Transportation Company, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Senior Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Senior Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure vehicles are safe and operating properly.
  • Inspect and maintain vehicle support systems, including electrical, air, and brake systems.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as parts requisitions and warranty claims.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs on computer/tablet.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
  • Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to safely operate service vehicles.
Working Conditions:
  • Exposure to high traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
