Operating Room Nurse RN

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse RN to join our team in the Operating Room of the Connecticut Joint Replacement & Spine Institute at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse RN, you will play a vital role in delivering patient care for same-day surgeries, collaborating closely with the anesthesia team, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with the anesthesia team, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and efficient care.
- Assist in transferring patients from the stretcher to the operating table and vice versa, providing support in lifting and positioning patients.
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the entire surgical process, offering support before, during, and after surgery.
- Completion of an accredited Nursing Program with an Associate's degree in Nursing is mandatory. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Must possess a valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Operating Room nursing, specifically in Orthopedic or Spine/Neuro OR, is required.
- BLS or CPR certification: Current certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
