About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and producing accurate diagnostic images.

Responsibilities
  • Perform all magnetic resonance procedures to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes, adhering to established protocols and age-specific needs.
  • Conduct MRI screenings and safety checks for patients, families, and others entering the MRI environment, ensuring a safe and controlled environment.
  • Follow quality assurance and quality control guidelines for all equipment, maintaining the highest standards of patient care.
  • Administer contrast materials and operate MRI scanner equipment and ancillary equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient imaging procedures.
  • Perform clerical duties in RIS, PACS, and hospital computer systems, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide weekend and holiday coverage, ensuring seamless patient care.
  • Demonstrate expertise in providing care for patients' physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs, regardless of age.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Radiological Technologist license from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • State of Ohio Radiologic Technology license.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, with MRI registry eligibility (may be hired with 2 years to complete registry).
