Synthetic Chemist

Mirus Bio, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Synthetic Chemist to join our Production Chemistry Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for hands-on synthesis and analysis of compounds, process streamlining, and work instruction updates.

• Design and execute synthetic routes for the production of high-quality lipids, polymers, and small molecules.
• Develop and implement efficient methods for the characterization of compounds using various physical and chemical techniques.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities and minimize errors.
• Manage inventory and ordering of production materials to support the production schedule.
• Contribute to the development of QMS documentation, including SOPs and change controls.
• Perform technical reviews of external batch records and lead production chemistry root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with multiple teams to ensure alignment and eliminate barriers.

• Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Chemistry or related discipline.
• 5+ years of relevant laboratory experience with hands-on experience with various analytical techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to identify and solve problems.
• Previous experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred.

Mirus Bio, LLC offers a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $95,000 per year, commensurate with experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including health care, paid time off, retirement savings, and professional development opportunities.
