About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Workers Compensation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team at Jobot. As a seasoned attorney, you will have the opportunity to work on complex and challenging cases, providing legal support and representation to clients who have suffered injuries at work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide legal representation to clients in worker's compensation cases, ensuring their rights are protected and they receive the benefits they are entitled to.
  • Conduct extensive legal research and analysis to prepare for case hearings and trials.
  • Draft, review, and file legal documents, pleadings, motions, briefs, and appeals.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and represent them in court hearings and trials.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure effective case management.
  • Stay updated with changes in laws and regulations related to worker's compensation and use this knowledge to advise clients and shape legal strategies.
  • Provide counsel and advice to clients on matters related to worker's compensation and insurance coverage.
  • Work closely with insurance companies to ensure clients receive appropriate coverage and benefits.
Requirements
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an attorney specializing in worker's compensation.
  • Active member of the Georgia State Bar in good standing.
  • Proven experience in law and motion practice, insurance coverage, and worker's compensation.
  • Strong understanding of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, and government regulations related to worker's compensation.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful settlement negotiations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and persuasive manner.
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a large caseload, meet tight deadlines, and work well under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
