Speech-Language Pathologist Job Description

Elderwood at North Creek is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing high-quality speech-language therapy services.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify communication problems and develop individualized therapy plans.
  • Provide speech-language therapy services to residents, including audiometric screenings and speech-language therapy treatments.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and develop treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress and treatment plans.
  • Participate in resident care planning and family/resident care plan review meetings to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
Requirements:
  • M.A. or M.S. Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved school.
  • State license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Clinical Competence Certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association (preferred).
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Current, valid CPR/BLS credential.
