Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician

The Arc of Ocean County is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. As an RBT, you will play a vital role in providing one-on-one behavior therapy services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Job Summary:

The RBT will work under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement behavior intervention plans to teach and reinforce adaptive behaviors and reduce maladaptive behaviors.
  • Collect and analyze data regarding behaviors and established plans.
  • Work directly with individuals receiving services in our programs, including group home and day program settings.
  • Teach, coach, promote, and reinforce behavior plans.
  • Implement strategies to reduce challenging behaviors.
  • Document and maintain organized records of participant progress.
  • Prepare notes, reports, and other data collection tools under the supervision of the BCBA.
Requirements:
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities.
  • Valid NJ driver's license with no more than 5 points.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of state and federal background checks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with an Electronic Health Record (EHR) is preferred.
