About the Role:

XO Taco is seeking a skilled and charismatic Host/Hostess to join its dynamic front-of-house team. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for guests, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Greeting and Seating: Welcome guests as they arrive, manage the waiting list, and seat guests at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Menu Provision and Information: Provide menus and answer initial questions, ensuring guests feel informed and comfortable.
  • Table Management: Strategize and manage the flow of the entire room, assigning guests to tables while considering table rotation and server workload.
  • Phone and Reservation Management: Answer phone calls, take reservations, and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Menu Knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the menu to effectively answer questions and make recommendations.
  • Team Support: Assist other positions in the restaurant as needed, demonstrating a willingness to help and adapt to changing situations.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring guests feel valued and satisfied.

Requirements:

  • Restaurant Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly desirable.
  • Customer Service Skills: Provide top-notch customer service in a fast-paced environment, remaining composed under pressure.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Demonstrate a positive attitude, work well with all restaurant staff, and be willing to follow instructions and ask questions for clarification when needed.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods, safely lift and maneuver trays of food when necessary.
