The Role

We are currently seeking a full-time Facility Maintenance Specialist for one of our properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the thorough maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, common areas, parking facilities, and other community structures.
  • Manage waste removal from office spaces and community surroundings on a daily basis.
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents, including the removal of trash prior to make-ready.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager with assigned maintenance tasks efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of available apartments and model units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, carpentry, and electrical issues, including HVAC systems.
  • Report maintenance concerns regarding available apartments, models, clubhouse, and common areas to the Property Manager.
  • Uphold the visual appeal of the community.
  • Support office staff with various tasks as needed.
  • Assist during adverse weather conditions, such as storms or floods.
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness in work areas and maintenance facilities.
  • Report directly to the Property Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; prior experience is preferred.
  • Skills in light carpentry, drywall repair, and painting are essential.
  • Basic computer skills are beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a collaborative mindset are necessary.
  • Proof of full vaccination is required upon hire, or a completed request for a medical or religious exemption.

Working Conditions

  • This is a full-time position, with potential after-hours and weekend work required. A rotating on-call schedule may be necessary.
  • Work will be conducted both indoors and outdoors.
  • Physical demands include the mobility necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
