Job Summary:

As a Sales Associate, you will be the face of Ollie's Bargain Outlet, Inc. and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and courtesy at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Operate the register accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods.
  • Be knowledgeable about all promotions and advertisements to effectively communicate with customers and drive sales.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the front end and sales floor.
  • Assist with receiving merchandise, pricing items, and recovering the store.
  • Communicate customer needs and concerns to Team Leaders and other associates as necessary.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and inventory management to ensure a visually appealing store environment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of six months' retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and activities, working within strict timeframes and deadlines.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Positive attitude and ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend and twist frequently.
  • Ability to grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently.
  • Ability to squat, kneel, balance, and climb ladders occasionally.
  • Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
