Job Overview

Budderfly, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced HVAC/R Lead Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and efficiency of our HVAC units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of HVAC/R technicians to ensure the continued excellent operation of Budderfly HVAC units.
  • Identify and mitigate maintenance risks on HVAC/R equipment to prevent downtime and ensure efficient operation.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults on HVAC/R systems.
  • Perform commissioning checks on HVAC units to ensure continued efficient operation.
  • Provide physical maintenance to Budderfly HVAC units, including filter changes, coil cleaning, and mechanical repairs.
  • Respond to emergency service calls and perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of all functions in our company work order system.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable state and federal standards and with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a service technician on HVAC/R systems.
  • HVAC/R Contractor License is required.
  • HVAC Controls experience, with familiarity with Lennox Core Controllers and Carrier SystemVu controllers.
  • Ability to recognize control and mechanical issues prior to the issue(s) compounding.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work some weekends and be available for on-call duties.
