Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL-A Route Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and/or unloading food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip safety checks, inspecting the tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards.
  • Follow all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and verify delivery of items with customers.
  • Perform damage control checks on items, scan, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy.
  • Load customer returns onto the trailer and secure trailer doors.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years foodservice distribution industry experience
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e., PeopleNet)
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e., POD)
