Job Summary

This Operations position is responsible for ensuring the readiness of delivery equipment by performing daily checks on oil, fluids, tire pressure, and fuel levels. The role also involves assisting the fleet shop and working with night warehouse management to prepare equipment for use.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fuel all delivery equipment daily to ensure timely operations.
  • Conduct daily checks on fluid levels of power equipment to prevent potential issues.
  • Collaborate with the fleet shop to address maintenance needs and optimize equipment performance.
  • Work with night warehouse management to coordinate equipment readiness and ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform trailer washing tasks as per FSQA schedules to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and debris-free parking lot to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard to optimize space and efficiency.

Requirements

Education

  • A high school diploma or equivalent General Education Development (GED) is required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience

  • 1-3 months of related experience and/or training are necessary to excel in this role.

Professional Skills

  • The ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos is essential.
  • Able to write simple correspondence and effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Can add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.
