Job Summary:
As an Ophthalmology Technician at NOMS Healthcare, you will play a vital role in assisting ophthalmologists in diagnosing eye diseases and performing eye surgery. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic office setting, utilizing your technical skills and excellent customer service abilities to provide top-notch care to patients.

Essential Functions:
• Conduct visual acuity measurements and refractometry to determine glasses prescriptions
• Perform tonometry to measure eye pressure and assess pupil size and reactivity
• Test and measure eye muscle function, visual field, and corneal thickness
• Conduct corneal curvature and topography measurements, as well as retinal nerve fiber layer and thickness assessments
• Assist with contact lens fitting and patient instruction, and prepare for in-office procedures
• Provide surgical assistance and collect medical history

Competencies:
• Experience with contact lenses and glasses
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Dexterity and technical skills

Education and Work Experience:
• High School diploma
• 1 year of experience in a related field

Environmental/Working Conditions:
• Office setting, well-ventilated and well-lit
• Frequent telephone contact with staff
• Work may be stressful at times, with constant interaction with others

Physical/Mental Demands:
• Normal office environment, with intermittent sitting, standing, and stooping
• May view computer screen for long periods of time
• Work may be stressful at times, with constant interaction with others
