Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of the anesthesia care team, you will be responsible for assisting with all phases of patient care in the peri-operative setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure operating room readiness and prepare equipment for anesthesia procedures.
  • Stock and maintain inventory of anesthesia supplies, checking for outdates and ensuring proper storage.
  • Clean and disinfect anesthesia equipment between cases and assist with room turnover.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of anesthesia machine functioning and assist with maintenance and quality checks.
  • Participate in unit-based performance improvement activities and troubleshoot minor issues with anesthesia equipment.
  • Report and remove malfunctioning equipment to biomed for repair.
Requirements
  • Education: Anesthesia technician certification program or completion of accredited anesthesia technologist program.
  • Licensure/Certification: Certified Anesthesia Technician.
  • Professional Experience: 1 year of Anesthesia Tech or relevant medical experience.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard 36-hour workweek. The work assignment is onsite, and the location is NASH HC.
