We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at MetroHealth. As a key member of our inpatient behavioral health team, you will provide direct patient care and promote consumer, family, and community health through preventative healthcare actions and patient advocacy.
Responsibilities- Deliver direct patient care consistent with advanced practice registered nurse education, experience, and certification, in collaboration with a physician, including diagnosis, management, and/or referral of healthcare issues.
- Manage complex illnesses and/or deliver specialty care, upholding the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
- Work autonomously, providing care without physician supervision, and demonstrate a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
- Meet the requirements/qualifications for clinical privileges in the specialty/department with The MetroHealth System and maintain a standard care arrangement.
- MSN or grandfathered under Ohio Revised Code.
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice registered Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Program.
- Current registered nurse licensure in the state of Ohio as an Advanced Practice Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing Certification as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in specialty PMHNP.
- One or more years of inpatient clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, with a demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or obtains within 90 days of hire.
- Obtains other advanced life support certifications applicable to practice area within 180 days of hire.
