Medical Examiner for US Veterans

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at MRG Exams. As a Medical Examiner, you will be responsible for performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills, able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions. They will also possess strong time management skills, able to stay on task and meet requirements. A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license is required, as well as proficiency in using a computer.
As a Medical Examiner, you will work in a clinical setting, conducting 3-5 patient evaluations per day. You will review medical records electronically through a web portal, perform focused physical exams, and document exam findings electronically. This role does not involve treating or prescribing medication, but rather providing expert medical opinions to support disability determinations made by the United States Veterans Administration.
Schedule
This is an in-person position, working Fridays from 8am to 4pm. The schedule is set and predictable, with no on-call requirements. If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can serve the Veteran community, this may be the opportunity for you.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must be able to analyze complex medical data, think critically, and communicate effectively. You should be proficient in using electronic health records systems and have strong organizational skills. A background in primary care or specialty medicine is preferred, but not required.
