As a Radiology Imaging Specialist in our Ambulatory team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of Prisma Health. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Radiology Imaging Specialist to operate radiologic equipment, perform routine diagnostic procedures, and provide excellent patient care. You will be responsible for taking x-rays, following established procedures, and ensuring the safety of patients and staff. Additionally, you will instruct patients regarding procedures, examine radiologic film, develop and process film, and maintain x-ray exam rooms. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively as part of a team will make you an ideal candidate for this role.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images
* Position patients and adjust equipment for taking x-rays
* Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment
* Instruct patients regarding procedures and ensure their comfort and well-being
* Examine radiologic film for properties such as density, contrast, definition, magnification, and distortion
* Develop and process radiologic film
* Deliver film to requesters for reading/interpretation
* Maintain x-ray exam rooms and stock necessary medical and radiological supplies
* Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment
* Responsible for routine maintenance and vendor notification of failures
* Disseminate x-ray reports and x-rays, maintaining a location log
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have an Associate degree and completion of an accredited Radiology program. Alternatively, completion of the diploma program through AnMed Health may be acceptable. Additionally, any education considered grandfathered by the American Registry for Radiology Technologists (ARRT) may also be accepted. Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography (RT(R)) or equivalent is required. We also require proficiency in office equipment, computer skills, and data entry. As a team player, you will be able to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders. If you have experience working in physician practices, that's a plus

Salary Range
This position offers a salary range of $65,000-$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
