Trinity Health FirstChoice is seeking a skilled RN Case Manager to fill a travel nursing position in Silver Spring, Maryland.

The Interim Manager of Care Management & Utilization Review will be responsible for the operational management, leadership, professional development, and quality assessment and improvement activities of the department. This role will oversee the activities of hospital staff in inpatient care coordination and utilization review, as well as interactions with outside activities and agencies on regulations affecting patient status and insurance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in hospital case management or a related activity, as well as at least 10 years of clinical experience in an acute healthcare setting. A minimum of 1-3 years of management/supervision/leadership experience in an acute healthcare setting is required, preferably with case management, utilization review, or a closely related area.

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of payer mechanisms and clinical utilization management, as well as knowledge of pertinent regulatory, accreditation, public, and private service organizational activities relating to discharge planning and resource utilization. They will also have demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of personnel, medical staff, and community, as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
