POSITION SUMMARY:
The Health Center at Bloomingdale is seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our interdisciplinary team. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for managing the care of patients/residents, ensuring high-quality outcomes, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implement effective treatment plans for patients/residents, utilizing evidence-based practices and adhering to facility, state, federal, and accrediting standards.
  • Evaluate patient/resident needs and establish treatment goals, collaborating with other disciplines as necessary.
  • Manage and coordinate the supervision of treatment plans, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
  • Participate in patient/resident screening and assessment, providing feedback to the Team Leader on clinical and rehabilitation issues.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective communication.
  • Perform necessary clinical documentation to meet facility, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and timely billing records, ensuring compliance with facility, state, federal, and accrediting agency requirements.
  • Assist with marketing efforts and participate in in-service training programs as requested.
  • May travel to other facilities to provide services, as needed.
  • Perform other duties as required, ensuring the highest level of patient/resident care and satisfaction.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:
Graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in speech-language pathology or a related field, or a master's degree in speech-language pathology and/or equivalent certification accepted by the designated professional accrediting body.
Actively licensed therapist in assigned state(s) of employment as a Speech Language Pathologist, or related healthcare profession.
Minimum one year of experience in speech-language pathology or a related field.
