About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apartment Management Consultants. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily repairs and maintenance tasks to ensure the property's buildings and grounds are well-maintained.
  • Take responsibility for the preparation of vacant units for occupancy, ensuring they are clean, safe, and ready for new residents.
  • Maintain and keep an inventory of all supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary tools are always on hand.
  • Report any unusual or extraordinary circumstances regarding the property or residents to management.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times.
  • Be available to work on an on-call basis, responding to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored.
  • Remove snow and ice as necessary, ensuring the property's walkways and parking areas are safe for residents and visitors.
  • Handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions, taking responsibility for 24-hour response to service requests.
Requirements
  • Ability to operate various hand tools, including power tools.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact with residents, management, and other team members.
  • Knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Property maintenance/handyman experience, with a proven track record of providing excellent service.
