Patient Care Associate 3

As a Patient Care Associate 3 at Salem Hospital, you will work under the direction of a registered nurse to provide clinical support functions and promote a safe, compassionate patient care environment. This role is part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team and requires a nursing assistant, EMT, paramedic, medical assistant, or comparable experience.
Responsibilities:
Assist in clinical support functions to promote a safe and compassionate patient care environment
Work under the direction of a registered nurse as a member of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Provide patient care and support services as needed
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of training in phlebotomy and EKG within one year of hire
Knowledge of English language sufficient to read, speak, and write accurately
Ability to lift and transport patients using the appropriate physical technique in a safe manner for the patient and self, according to Safe Patient Handling Guidelines
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital personnel
